TRAINING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

RAM Projects Department is playing a vital role in ensuring the trainings, skills and development of individuals and SMMEs are prioritised in projects within which RAM projects Department is involved, a structured training and skills development program for both road signs and road markings projects is planned at ensuring the proper development of SMMEs and individuals and ensuring skills transfer between experienced company and small medium micro enterprises so that SMMEs can participate in the main stream economy.

To ensure that RAM Projects Department is competent and adding value to the industry, We have invested in employee training and development is a strategic approach that benefits both employees and the organization, leading to a more skilled, motivated, and engaged workforce. These trainings have been done through workshops and presentation and a well structured training for in-house and outsource training which benefits (i) Graduates towards registration on the professional bodies, Like registration towards ECSA, (ii) interns (University and college) towards obtaining relevant experience and assisting them towards fining their qualification, and (iii) NQFs (Level 2, level 3 and level 4).

SMMEs often face unique challenges, and tailored training programs can address these effectively. Investing in a well-designed training and development program for SMMEs can lead to significant improvements in business performance, employee satisfaction, and long-term success. The primary objective of the RAM Project Department is to create opportunities for Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs), Graduate, and Interns from targeted groups to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical experience through participation in RAM Projects Department. The following initiates have been devised in ensuring the proper implementation of these trainings and skill development program; (i) Business Industrialisation This initiative aims to improve comprehensive training and development opportunities for the targeted groups under RAM Project Department activities. Two key initiatives being implemented: *Road signs, and road marking paint manufacturing* Training of targeted enterprises and targeted labourers to specialize in the manufacturing of road signs and road marking paint. The goal is to establish a sufficient number of SMMESs whom will specialize in the manufacturing of road signs and road marking paint thereby contributing to job creation and economic empowerment.
